The Ultimate Guide to Managing a Wedding Party

Managing your bffs can be a lot like herding cats (but less fluffy).
When it comes to organizing a wedding party, I've found there are a few things to keep in mind:

Hire Some Help
Wedding planners are invaluable! These angels do all the managing for you. They will make sure people are where they need to be when they need to be there. Seriously, they are incredible.

Set & Manage Expectations
This is especially important for those friends who are coming in from out of town. Be realistic in your expectations for your guys and gals. Yes, they are there to support you, but give them a little breathing room. Do they all really need to be at every shower and every fitting and every meeting? Probably not. Make sure you set your expectations with them before they're in over their head.

Keep Them in the Loop
Be sure to let the whole wedding party know the schedule for the wedding weekend. Let them know what time they are needed at the rehearsal, and what time they need to be at the getting ready location. The more they know, the more smoothly the day will run. Bonus points if you give them a map too.

Dress Smart
Again, be realistic in your expectations. If you want all the girls to get a spray tan, know that the color may not look good on everyone (then they'll be scrubbing it off all day). Also, If you know one of your friends is on a tight budget, maybe opt for less expensive gowns or allow them to do their own hair and makeup. Try not to add stress on to your friends.

Please Feed the Animals
No one is happy when their hungry. Plan on grabbing breakfast or lunch during your getting ready time. It's never a bad idea to have some snacks on hand too. Most importantly, have water bottles available for your friends. We don't need anyone passing out during the ceremony!

The whole point of a wedding is to celebrate the marriage, and if your best friends are stressed or annoyed they are not going to have any fun. Set yourself up for success and plan on your friends to have a BLAST at your wedding.
