Brides ask me all the time if I use a shot list. The honest answer: yes and no.
I do have a shot list. It exists on my computer and in my questionnaires. However, I have shot enough weddings, where I do not necessarily need a reminder to take a picture of the rings, or the bridesmaids, or the first kiss.
These are the shots that I know to get at every wedding. However, I can not promise that your Uncle Bob will refrain from stepping into the aisle while you are exchanging rings. I can not promise that Aunt Susie will sit down during your first dance, instead of standing up and taking pictures. What I can promise is that I will do my very best to give you photos that tell the story of your wedding day.
I always ask my clients if there are any other pictures that are important for me to get on their wedding day. I do not just know about grandma's heirloom handkerchief or how important the unity candle is to you. If you want a photo of all of your sorority sisters from college, or if your parents want a picture with their dinner party friends, all you have to do is let me know and I will do my best to make it happen!
