Last year, I got a bad case of the travel bug and started pushing for destination weddings. When Amber told me about her plans to have an intimate ceremony off the coast of North Carolina, I knew I just had to be there. I loved getting to know Amber, Todd, their friends, and their family over the few days that we were on the East Coast. The two are truly perfect for one another and are supported by some incredible people.
Amber and Todd got ready at an awesome two-story AirBnb in Avon, North Carolina. While the ladies got their hair and makeup done, the guys played in the surf at the beach down the street. Amber's dress was a total surprise to her bridesmaids and their reaction was priceless. Despite the chance of rain, everyone headed south to the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse for Amber and Todd's first look. As a small crowd of strangers gathered, Todd turned around and saw his almost-wife in her gorgeous gown (insert cheering here). After a few sweet moments, we went to the beach for the ceremony. Through a few raindrops, the two promised themselves to one another, mixed some whisky in a tiny barrel, exchanged rings, and were pronounced husband and wife. The portraits of these two were so incredible. The newlyweds were all smiles and all laughs. Their family and friends joined them for dinner at a local restaurant afterwards for some amazing food and delicious drinks.
Amber and Todd - I cannot thank you enough for allowing me to document your wedding day. Everything was absolutely perfect and I am so excited to see you at your Kansas City reception later this month. I wish you both the absolute best!
