I think it’s totally up to you! The engagement session is a great chance for us to get to know each other better. By your wedding day, we’ll be old friends, and you’ll basically be a pro model (LOL). More importantly, you’ll trust me to capture all those incredible moments of your big day.
All of your high-res images will be delivered in an online gallery within 6 weeks. You’ll have the option to order prints directly through the gallery or download your images to print wherever you prefer!
You better believe I celebrate all people. Every race, ethnicity, religion (or non-religion), gender, and sexual identity/orientation—everyone is welcome here. Discrimination of any kind has no place in my world. Everyone deserves to feel seen, respected, and celebrated.
Would you believe me if I said a lot of my couples worry about this? Don’t stress—I don’t expect you to be a professional model... until I’m done with you LOL! Being in front of a camera can feel super vulnerable, but I promise to never make you feel anything less than you. You can expect guided posing to help you feel connected and look your best!
I don’t own a studio (yet!), but there are plenty of amazing studios available around the city if that’s something you’re interested in. Just reach out, and we can book one together!
For a 45-minute session, you can expect around 60-100 edited images delivered within 6 weeks. Every session is unique, so this is an average, not a guarantee, but it gives you a good idea of what to expect!
Colors that always look great? Neutrals and jewel tones! But the most important thing is to pick an outfit you absolutely love and feel confident in. If you are looking for a fun, professional, laid back chick who will make you and your husband feel like models, Alyssa is the photographer you want! Alyssa was with my husband and I from the beginning of the whole wedding journey. Ben hired Alyssa for our proposal photos the night we were engaged. She even sent us 20+ photos that same night! We got the most beautiful photos I could have ever asked for that night and still get compliments on them today. We couldn't have imagined using anyone else for our wedding after that night. She took our engagement photos and wedding photos. All are so incredibly beautiful! She is always quick to get your edited photos back to you, which is amazing for eager brides. It's hard to put into words how happy I am with our choice to have Alyssa as our photographer. Really, Alyssa's services extend far beyond that of your typical photographer - she is a photographer (an amazing one, at that), a cheerleader, a hype girl...everything. Alyssa took amazing pictures (which she got back to us within 3 weeks, not to mention a sneak peek the night of the wedding), helped me seamlessly navigate the unavoidable bit of family tension that arose, bustled my dress so my mom could enjoy cocktail hour, pinned my dress when a wild dancer stepped on it and ripped my bustle on the dance floor, helped us feel confident and beautiful and sexy during our pictures, and helped coordinate communication between all involved throughout our day. Alyssa truly felt like a part of the wedding, and our entire wedding party felt so comfortable and confident around her. Choosing Alyssa to be our photographer was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!
