This was the second shooting opportunity of a lifetime.
I met Mika through my fun-time-job working at McLain's Bakery. Mika and Bobby are both wedding photographers and videographers. I knew as soon as Bobby proposed that this wedding would be crazy amazing. Mika asked Hannah, a sweet friend that she met in Hawaii doing YWAM, to shoot her wedding, but wanted a local photographer there too. I was blown away when she asked me to help Hannah. I mean, WOW, what an honor.
The best part wasn't the flowers (although I'm a sucker for flowers) or the surprise second dress (hello I'm in love) or the gorgeous reception space (I seriously love The Bauer). It was definitely the love that Mika and Bobby not only share for each other, but for Jesus. Every part of the day was Christ centered and prayerfully thought out. When they shared a moment before the ceremony, they worshipped.
As Mika sang to her almost-husband as she walked down the aisle, there wasn't a dry eye in the church. And as the two were married, everyone cheered.
Mika is wonderful at all that she does. She is creative and fun and thoughtful. See for yourself how gorgeous this wedding day was.
I love second shooting because I get to capture all of the in-between moments and ALL of the details.
Thank you so much Mika and Bobby for choosing me to second shoot your wedding! And thank you Hannah for being such a wonderful lead photographer.
